What is the Food Program offered by Horizons Unlimited?
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded program sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture(USDA).
This child nutrition program provides financial reimbursements to licensed or certified child care providers for serving nutritious meals and snacks to children in their care .
The CACFP is absolutely free. That’s right! There’s no charge to participate. You will need to prepare meals which meet the guidelines established by the USDA. These are meals that are much like the meals you are probably already serving and is the same meal pattern required by both licensing and certification rules. You will receive a payment every month to help you buy the food to serve the children!
